Acute Kidney Injury

Acute kidney failure occurs when the kidneys are suddenly unable to filter waste products from the blood. When your kidneys lose their filtering ability, dangerous levels of waste can build up and your blood chemistry can become imbalanced. Acute kidney failure, also called acute renal failure or acute renal failure, develops rapidly, usually within a few days. Acute kidney failure is more common in people who are already in the hospital, especially in critically ill people who require intensive care.
